Redeemer Nursery Policy

We welcome you and your family to Redeemer Church. We consider our children a valuable part of the Redeemer community. Here we seek to respect their unique needs and cultivate their gifts by supporting parents and following the example of Jesus (Matthew 19:14). To that end, our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your children so you can feel secure about their wellbeing while you attend our services and activities.

Before placing your child in the nursery, please read the following details of our nursery program: how it’s run, the rules we have crafted to ensure a safe environment, and contact information for any additional questions. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

Age of Care

Infants to age three are accepted in the nursery. For safety reasons, we do not allow children above nursery age to enter the nursery at any time unless they are assisting their parents. Children’s Church is available for those 4 years of age and potty trained through 3rd grade.

Nursery Staffing

We always have a minimum of two nursery workers on duty. They will be wearing a brightly colored badge/lanyard identifying them as the volunteers. All nursery volunteers at Redeemer are required to have a background check. Nursery volunteers arrive at the nursery 15 minutes prior to the start of the service.

Information Cards

Parents and guardians are required to complete an information card for their child. This card will provide the nursery workers with essential information needed to care for the child. Information provided on this card includes: parent contact numbers, diaper bag information, food allergies, and special instructions.

Drop Off and Pick Up

Parents and guardians need to check-in their child’s information card to the nursery volunteer(s) when dropping off their child. Children will only be released to a parent or another pre-authorized adult. Please pick up your children as soon as the service concludes.

Child Illness

For the health and safety of the children and nursery staff as well as the peace of mind of our children’s parents, children that are currently ill or have shown symptoms of illness within the last 24 hours should not be brought to the nursery. If a child shows signs of illness while in the nursery, their parent or guardian will be notified. It is the responsibility of parents to show an abundance of caution when choosing to place a recently ill child in the nursery.
